Dear Local Residents and Community Members,

On behalf of the entire We Out Here festival team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported, attended, and welcomed the 2026 event. This year’s festival was truly incredible, and we are deeply grateful to the community for helping make it such a memorable weekend.

We are proud of the deepening roots we are laying down in Dorset - working with local traders and businesses, supporting charities and community projects, and engaging year round with locals to make them feel part of the event.and some  proof is in the unprecedented demand for tickets.

This year we welcomed over 700 local residents into the event, which is testament to the deepening roots we are laying down in Dorset - working with local traders and businesses, supporting charities and community projects, and engaging year-round with those who want to be part of the event. The overwhelmingly positive feedback has been truly heartwarming to hear!

A festival of this scale can only happen with the support, patience, and collaboration of the people who live and work in the surrounding area. Your engagement, generosity, and willingness to be part of the weekend are a huge part of what makes We Out Here special. Whether you joined us on site, took part in community discussions, or simply supported the event from afar, your involvement means more than we can express.

We encourage any member of the local community to join and have their say - it’s an informal, open forum in which we invite you all to share your thoughts, concerns and feedback on the festival, and a great opportunity to share your views.

If the online meeting format doesn’t suit you, we can organise phone calls as an alternative.

We will be in touch at the start of next year with updates on the community and resident ticket scheme, as well as the Verwood ballot, to give locals the opportunity to get hold of discounted festival tickets. As the 2026 edition sold out, we expect similar demand for next year's festival, so keep an eye out for application windows, purchase deadlines and qualification criteria.
